Research Interests

I collaborate with GVL PhD student Mary Badger to research dietary niche partitioning of migrating raptors in the Pacific Flyway using dietary eDNA samples. Additionally, in collaboration with Breanna Martinico from UC Extension, I am investigating dietary exposure pathways of secondary anticoagulants (ARs) in Red-tailed Hawks that forage in agricultural systems.

Population Genetics of Trout Hybridization

Graduate Student: Alana Luzzio

I organized DNA samples in a database and prepared them for analysis on a novel Standard BioTools microfluidics genotyping panel developed by GVL PhD student Alana Luzzio. The panel is designed to assess hybridization between Lahontan cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and Yellowstone cutthroat trout, helping to inform conservation efforts and manage genetic diversity.
